Biography
Prof. An was born in YuanPing of ShanXi Province, an expert of Wireless Communication and a doctoral supervisor .He received the Bachelor degree in the information science major from the PLA Information Engineering Universityin 1987.From 1990 Prof. Anhad been studying in Communication and Electronic Systems of the School of Information and Electronics until he received the Master and the Doctor degree. After he graduated from the School of Information and Electronics, he Stayed in the BIT for teaching and served as Director of Communications Department of electronic engineering department for several years. Now he has been the National Chief Professor of Key Subject in the field of Communication and Information System, vice-dean of Information Science and Technology school, National key Subject leaders of “Communication and Information System”,Member of China Youth Association for Science, IEEE Member, E.C of The Journal of Beijing institute of Technology, Journal of Telemetry, Tracking and Command, E.C of the Journal of Data Acquisition and Processing. Director of the China Electronic Educational Society, Beijing Electronics Society, The member of Micro computer professional committee of the Chinas Computer Society,Evaluation Experts of the National Natural Science Foundation of China,Evaluation Experts of National High Technology Research and Development Program of china,Evaluation Experts for National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award.
Prof. An s Research interestsinclude Digital signal processing with applications to digital communications, MIMO & space time signal processing, Channel coding theory & applications. These years he has published more than 160academic papers, one monograph and taken charge of variety of national scientific projects support by several organizations such as National High Technology Research and Development Program of china, National Natural Science Foundation of China etc. Also ,he has received great awards and honors due to his outstanding contributions, in 2000,he was awarded the excellent young teacher by education ministry,he has been received the National Science and Technology Progress Award(first place) ,also Ministry Science and Technology Progress Award(third place),National Science and Technology Progress Award(first place)in 1997.The courses Prof. An has taught are Principles of Digital Communications, Modern Digital Communications, Spread Spectrum Communications, Channel Coding etc. These years ,Prof. An has cultivated about 32 Ph.D. students and more than 180 master students. 

山西省原平县人,1987年毕业于解放军信息工程学院信息科学系,从1990年开始在北京理工大学电子工程系通信与电子系统专业学习硕士、博士,1996年获得通信与电子系统博士学位,后留校任教,历任通信教研室主任、电子工程系主任。现任“通信与信息系统”国家重点学科首席教授,国防科工委重点专业“通信工程”专业负责人,信息科学技术学院副院长,“通信与信息系统”国家重点学科带头人。《遥测遥控》与《北京理工大学学报》编委,中国青年科协委员,IEEE会员,《北京理工大学学报》、《遥测遥控》、《数据采集与处理》编委,中国电子教育学会理事,北京电子学会理事,中国通信学会通信理论与信号处理专业委员会委员,中国计算机学会微计算机专业委员会委员,国家自然科学基金评审专家,国家“863”项目评审专家,国家政府采购评审专家,国防科技奖评审专家。
   研究领域包括宽带/超宽带无线通信,无线通信与网络,软件无线电等。先后发表高水平论文80 余篇,主持若干国家973、863 项目、自然科学基金项目、国防预研项目以及多项企业合作项目。获得国家科技进步三等奖一项(排名第一)、部级科技进步一等奖一项(排名第一)、部级科技进步三等奖两项(均排名第二);获得光华科技基金奖三等奖,教育部首届“优秀青年教师奖”。2000年入选国家“百千万人才工程”第一、二层次,享受国务院政府特殊津贴。讲授的课程有《通信原理》、《信息论》、《信道编码》、《扩频通信》、《现代数字通信技术》等。培养博士生37名。发表学术论文110余篇,出版著作1本。
